About me

Get to know me, my story, and the approach behind Mbody Collective!

Hi, I’m Maddy! I know what it feels like to be stuck in the cycle of restrictive diets, confusing workout programs, and constantly starting over on Mondays. For years, I thought fitness had to mean pushing harder, eating less, and following all the “rules” — but it only left me frustrated, burnt out, and nowhere closer to my goals.

That’s why I started Mbody Collective. I wanted to create a space where women could finally break free from the noise and confusion, and learn how to build strength and confidence in a way that feels simple and sustainable. Today, I get to help women just like you discover how good it feels to train with purpose, fuel their bodies, and create results that actually last.

What I Believe

1.

Strength Before Everything

The best way to get your dream body (and keep it) is by prioritizing muscle. Strength is what drives fat loss, shapes your body, and builds confidence that lasts.

2.

Food is Fuel, Not the Enemy

Carbs, calories, and social dinners don’t need to feel like a threat. Learning to fuel your body is what gives you freedom.

3.

Progress Over Perfection

All-or-nothing doesn’t work. Small, consistent actions add up to big changes that actually last.

4.

Fitness Should Fit Your Life

Your plan should work around your lifestyle—not take it over. Sustainable results only come when the approach feels doable.

When it comes to fitness, my philosophy is simple: muscle comes first. Strength doesn’t just reshape your body—it transforms how you show up in life. My training goes beyond the gym, building a foundation for a toned, lean physique while helping you feel powerful and proud. No quick fixes or endless cardio—just smart, structured strength training that delivers lasting results.

Food should fuel both your body and your life. That means no rigid meal plans, no “good” or “bad” foods, and no guilt. Instead, I’ll help you fuel for energy, recovery, and fat loss in a way that fits your lifestyle. Together, we’ll build habits that let you eat with confidence and ease—so food becomes enjoyable again, not stressful.

My Fitness Journey

From starting out to growing strong:

When I first started Mbody Collective, it was simply about helping women feel less alone in their fitness journey. I wanted to share the tools and knowledge I had learned so no one else had to struggle through the same confusion and frustration I once did. Step by step, I built a coaching process designed to cut through the noise and actually work in real life.

Over time, Mbody Collective has grown into something bigger than just workouts and meal plans—it’s become a community, a coaching experience, and a space where women can step into their strongest, most confident selves. Every client’s journey is unique, but they all share one thing in common: they’re proof that when you prioritize strength and consistency, the results follow—and they last.

2011: Rock Bottom

I struggled deeply with my mental health, bingeing and purging, and treating my body like trash. At my heaviest, I was over 200 lbs, feeling completely disconnected from myself and unsure if real change was even possible.

2012–2013: The First Transformation

I started with simple at-home workout DVDs and a basic nutrition plan. To my surprise, it worked — I lost over 70 lbs. For the first time, I felt strong and capable. That transformation planted a seed: if I could change my life, maybe I could help other women do the same.

2014–2016:  Falling in Love with Fitness

I joined a gym and fell in love with training. I became a certified yoga instructor, teaching multiple classes a week while also working at a health food store, which sparked a deeper interest in nutrition. These years built the foundation for everything I do now.

2017–2020: Becoming a Personal Trainer

After traveling to Italy as an au pair, I came home, earned my CanFitPro Certification, and landed a job at a corporate gym. This was the true start of my career as a trainer.

2020–2024: Building My Own Business

I left the corporate coaching space to start my own business. I began training clients out of my parents’ garage, officially launching Madison Gratton Fitness. When I outgrew that space, I rented a gym and ran my business there for two years. During this time, I also transitioned into the online space, learning how powerful and impactful virtual coaching could be.

2024–2025: MBody Collective

Today, I’ve fully transitioned into online coaching, where I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of women transform their bodies and lives. My business has evolved into MBody Collective — a community and coaching experience that’s grown into something bigger than I ever dreamed. What started as a personal struggle has become my mission: to help women /embody the strongest, most confident version of themselves.
